Analog Bullet Cameras

Analog Bullet Cameras for your Surveillance System

The analog bullet security camera utilizes an analog image sensor to capture images. This sensor can be either a charge coupled device (CCD) or a complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS). Analog bullet cameras use CCD sensors to capture images then convert them into digital form for processing and or storage.

Analog bullet cameras with their CCD sensors have significant advantages over CMOS technology. They perform well across a variety of lighting conditions and handle motion capture well. When video is compressed in a storage device, there’s more hardware and software available to improve analog video quality and frame rate. Analog bullet cameras also have the benefit of transmitting video feed in real time, since it can be sent to the DVR in uncompressed format.
